Anyone know anything about the new embedding format? I was working on a blog listing all the shows for every day and embedding the mini player. Now its all messed up and shows up with a big white screen under the player when you embed. I was 206 days in on the blog and really want to continue, but it looks like shit and will take up too much space. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

No one can look at your problems until and unless you post your links to your web pages here. The Archive's embedded flow players have always had some interfacing issues with some Browsers in some OS.

Tracey Pooh is the IA's chief eng. He's the man to talk to. Tracey posted this on Jan 13:
We are about to rollout a "new new" video/audio player 8-)

You can see it in action now with our upcoming embed codes to go with this new player.

It will allow for additional much wanted features like:
- off-site playlists
- fullscreen in many cases
- subtitles/captions

as well as the standard arbitrary width/height and "autoplay" options.

You can see some examples here:

The rest is coming soon (if you are eager, you can even "opt in" now by clicking here:

(then take a look at one of your favorite items).

Now relax, sit back, and enjoy an archive video!

Cheers!

audio player not working in firefox - debugging this new problem

I've been maintaining my own taper's handbook here for the past several years. Lately I've developed my own OWS handbook here on The Archive's site. By keeping my web pages and Collections here, they suffer from the fewest new bugs that happen down the road. New bugs will develop from time-to-time as upgrades and collections are developed. IA Staff is spearheading the internet's largest Free online Public Library for us. Topics about streaming shows, and IA's embedded flow players are discussed in detail in my handbook. We are also trying to spearhead the world's first online Taper's Compendium Collection hybrid on The Archive.

I have a free Dosimeter App for you — Monte's Taper Handbook
